Hello,
i´m wondering about using a gl-inet 6416 as a solar outdoor router
the new version has a dc-dc switching voltage regulator but i wonder if i could use the device with 12v ?

Or anyone got a idea how to test the max voltage without blowing things up?

Use anything above that and you'll risk blowing it up.
If you only have 12V, use a cheap $2,50 DC/DC switching converter.
