Topic: Sitecom WLR-7100

The content of this topic has been archived on 30 Jan 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I've got a WLR-7100, and I thought I would help the community by getting the bootlogs for this device. Unfortunately it won't allow me to boot with the serial port connected. But if I disconnect the port before boot and reconnect it after I powered the router it gives me a partial bootlog. I hope this is enough.

If I boot with the cable connected it returns this information:

What extra information is necessary to get OpenWRT support for this device?

Today I tried the run the uImage's both from BB and CC (ar71xx), but both won't boot.

Next step is to create the profile for this device.

I'm in the progress of building an image for this device. The image itself is working fine, but I have some troubles creating an image which can be flashed.

One of the issues I'm facing is the fact that the uImage-partition is only: 896k(uImage), but when I run make the uImage is 1054473 bytes big which is well over 896k.

When I change the mtdpartitions in the config to 1088k I get a sysupgrade image. Can I flash that (with MTD) without any issues, or will I brick my device doing so?

Made some progress. Booted the initramfs image, with working switch. Flashed with mtd -r write sysupgrade.bin and got a booting router.
