Topic: NetGear WNDR4300 Can't Find USB HDD

Hi,everyone,
I use WHDR4300 with OpenWrt BB RC3.
When I plug in my usb-hdd to my router,no sd* found in /dev/
I try other usb flash disk,it not work either.

anyone can help?

1) Do you know http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/usb.storage ?
2) What filesystem is the HDD formatted with?
3) Post the output of

What kind of packages did you install? I've encountered the same problem. I inserted a ext4 usb device into 4300, but could not find the /dev/sd* .  Thanks in advance.

Also noticed that a file /dev/bus/001/001 and /dev/bus/001/003  was created after inserting the usb disk. But it is not a block device and no way to mount.

For anyone who is interested, I flashed the firmware (Chaos Calmer) again and installed kmod-usb-storage, kmod-fs-ext4 packages, then the disk was recognized correctly. No sure what the difference is compared to my first try.
