sturgillbd has found some decision, but it could be applied only with recompiling.
Can someone propose a way to apply the NSC geode fixup in the OS kernel without recompiling?

What's more can someone make a dedicated image for the WAPs, with the proper boot fixups and even with CPU, sensors and all applicable packages available.

For me it will take ages, since I'm not exactly prepared

Nevermind the WRAPs are old, but mine one is quite reliable. And OpenWRT is the best suitable OS for it.
