Topic: Linksys E1200 v2

The content of this topic has been archived on 1 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hello,

I'm trying to configure OpenWRT trunk on a Linksys E1200 v2 but I haven't been able to setup Wifi. I've tried with all drivers, but everytime I type wifi detect there's no output, except when I'm using the kmod-brcm-wl driver, in which case the output is the following:

ls: /sys/class/ieee80211: No such file or directory

Here's the boot log when using the kmod-brcm-wl driver:

Toward the end you can see the "ERROR: FOUND UNSUPPORTED RADIO," which seems to be new since your post, kashano.

I tried the kmod-brcm-wl, and got mostly the same results: wifi detect says nothing, /sys/class/ieee80211 is empty (but it exists), and the same messages:

[ 9736.420000] wl: module license 'unspecified' taints kernel.
[ 9736.430000] Disabling lock debugging due to kernel taint
[ 9736.540000] wl0: 5.10.56.27 driver failed with code 13
[ 9736.540000] The attach callback failed, BCMA probe aborted
[ 9736.550000] SSB/BCMA glue driver successfully attached

This is with the 15.05 build marked e1200-v2.

Note - the ticket for BCM5357 wireless drivers was closed in June 2014 as "wontfix." But perhaps some of the "huge work needed to get this working" may have been done in the time between then and now; I'm not sure of its exact nature.
