Topic: Building a package repo from source

Hello

I want so set up a local repo for trunk and instead of downloading a recent snapshot I want to compile it myself.

I already tried enabling "Select All Packages by Default" in "Global Build settings" but that didn't seem to work.

I am unsure if manually enabling all package options in menuconfig will do it (dependencies).

Is there an easier/official way to compile the repo?

Anyone?

What are you trying to do? A full mirror for personal use?

I hardly doubt that you will actually want all packages. They include e.g. several phone exchange implementations, SQL database programs etc. Most of us will never run those on our routers.

But these threads should offer you some answers:

Apparently with that "Select All Packages by Default" you need to start with the empty .config
