Hello Friends,


Is it possible to use openwrt on the Fast Fw300R version 9.1?

I´ve take these photos about the chipsets:

CPU: QCA9533-AL3A
64Mb DDR SDRAM ZENTEL: A3S64D40GTP

It is very similar to MW316R, board is much the same.


Also, If someone could help me finding the serial port, i could try to create an image for it (are there any guidelines?)

Looks like J3 is standart UART interface. From top: power, ground  and (RX and TX or TX and RX)

Well,  that´s it!

After some soldering... here is the output!

U-boot loading VXWORKS... with some TP-LINK logos..


Can anyone suggest an image to run on this?

I think the next step is to point u boot to load another image via tftp, right?

Hello.
I just buy a router Mercury MW300R Version9.1 found it same as yours. and also hope it can update to openwrt,

just press enter then you see "Hit any key to stop autoboot" then you go to uboot menu.
Here you can find your memory details, whats helps to make own image for your device.

Based on this thread on dx.com, seems that this product is not a good option for using with OpenWrt.

Maybe after sime time on the market, they will do it.
But i think i will mod my wr703n´s to solve my problem and put the Fw300r to be a hotspot with the chinese interface.

SOC qca953x is not supported by openwrt currently,but i think it will be supported not so far.here is the TTL output of tp-link wr841n v9_en:
