Topic: WNDR4700 is it possible in 2013 ?

Hi everyone, is there any possibility to run OpenWRT on WNDR4700 in 2013 ?
Is there any work carried out to port OpenWRT on PowerPC APM82181@1000MHz ?

I've been wondering the same and was doing some research today. I downloaded the open source code bundle to see what is in it.

The Netgear firmware appears to be based on OpenWRT:

1) List the model number. If the open source code archive applies to multiple models, list each model individually.

2) List the version number of the firmware/software that correlates with the open source code archive.

7) List the main HW platform utilized such as CPU, main chipset, RF chipset, DSP, Switch IC<A1><AD>etc.

APM82181(CPU) + AR8327N(Switch) + AR9580(5GHz) + AR9380(2.4GHz)

8) List the name, version, license, and modification status of the OS for the product

Linux kernel 2.6.32, GPL, Yes

9) List the name, version, license, and modification status of the boot loader for the product

u-boot, 2009.08, GPL, Yes

10) List the name, version, license, and modification status of the toolchain for the product

11) List the name, version, license, and modification status of the tools for the product
