Topic: How can I knwo if TP-Link code is based on Linux ?

The content of this topic has been archived on 26 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

If I have downloaded some TP-Link source codes. Is there any straight way to know if the code is based on Linux or other systems ?

As I know, most TP-Link device base on Linux, but some base on VxWork.
If you get the GPL code, you can check the souce code and see what systems it's base on.

Thanks. Could you provide more help in checking the source code? The steps? Which file? How?

If it is running linux, you should be able to type dmesg. That will tell you the kernel version.
If you have the source code there should be directories and/or files with the word linux in the name.
