Hi guys i have a device which name is Airties AP-301.Its AR2317 based 8 mb ram and 2 mb flash. Its also using redboot but i cant access it with ethernet on 9000 port. And i know atheros builds cant load 2mb flash. But i can change flash chip and ram chips i got soldering skills and i had experiance in the past.
I just want to communicate with redboot on serial port. How can i learn tx and rx pins.I measured vcc and gnd.

hello welcome to openwrt ...

the atheros ar2317 with the current hardware ie (2mb flash and 8mb ram) is supported by openwrt although limited in functionality

although i cannot see the switch in the images you posted .... more info would be good on that

here check out this forum where a vxkiller image has been developed for this same hardware

https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php … 52&p=9

and also the wiki page of the router with the download links to the openwrt firmware

http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/wr340gd?s[]=wr340g

function are limited on the router because of the 2mb flash.... this can be over come with a sd card modd over the gpio pins on the router (this would first require to find the gpio pins in the pcb board with a voltmeter ) then making a custom image which supports sd card and then mount an sd card and install packages to that ....... a ram upgrade should also be in order as it has only 8mb which is not enough for atheros madwifi wireless drivers

share your thought's
