Topic: Web GUI for RouterStation and RouterStation PRO

The content of this topic has been archived on 25 Mar 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Hi Guys,

We released this month a free SkySpotOS GUI interface based on OpenWRT for RouterStation and RouterStation PRO. This release supports Atheros radios with madWiFi and ath9k drivers.

This free version is supporting the most OpenWRT features but doesn't have Mesh mode feature and interface for external RadiusAAA with Web based Captive Portal.

To download, please visit STORE at www.skyspot-net.com and go to: "Access Points and Software without Cloud Services" to download community free SkySpotOS for Routerstation and RouterStation PRO.

After downloading, sigh up/register to the Dashboard and generate a license key for RouterStation or RouterStationPRO from the Dashboard/SkySpotOS License Manager.

Hi, what is the difference between SkySpotOS for Routerstation and RouterStation PRO?

Hi Dick,

The SkySpotOS GUI is released in three editions:

1. SkySpotOS Standard - free community edition that can be use with SkySpot Community Cloud Controller or without.
2. SkySpotOS Enterprise - free and valid with SkySpot Cloud Controller services.
3. SkySpotOS Professional - paid edition with additional interface for external RadiusAAA server and Web based Captive Portal.

Enterprise and Professional editions have implemented OLSR Mesh mode in 2.4Ghz or 5GHz.

The SkySpotOS GUI for Ubiquiti RouterStation and RouterStationPRO has currently the same features but different binaries from OpenWRT.
The RouterStation PRO has a 1Gigbit Ethernet switch, but RouterStation has 100Mbits Ethernet switch.

We already prepared and tested AR8316 switch configurations for RouterStationPRO but some additional work is required to implement these configurations in the GUI. The next release for RouterStation PRO will have switch features implemented.

Regards,
Pat

Any news about the availability of your GUI for the WNDR3700?

Hi cloggy,

Probably in September we will release GUI for WNDR3700 v2. Which version are you the most interested, with mesh feature or without?

Pat

Hi, I'm most interested in the WNDR3700V1 version and with Mesh.. but it seems I have to wait a few months more as I have the V1 version of this router and you plan to release the V2 version first.

Currently we do not have WNDR3700V1. If we'll have V1 then we'll start with V1.

The discussion might have continued from here.
