Topic: TL-WR741ND console connect with serial port (NO USB)

Where is problem?

connection settings? 115200, 8N1, no handshake

connection setting is ok

Bits per second: 115200
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None*
(*Note: No flow control did not work for my version 1.3, I had to use RTS/CTS)

got some more details of your cable?

Yes directly :-(

better check the wiki how it is done the right way.

PC COM uses other signal levels than your router port - COM can be as much as 12V, so Im worried bout health of your router serial, which probably uses 3,3 V levels. You should use serial converter, like USB data cable for old phones.

The level is one problem, the other problem is the inverted logic
