Topic: DIR-825 radio led

I'm using Backfire 10.03 with my DIR-825 but I cannot enable the wireless radio LEDs.
None of the ath9k-phy0/1:radio, assoc, tx or rx responds to default ON state toggle or any other event trigger.

I'd appreciated any advice!

Re: DIR-825 radio led

Anybody?
Seems it's the same bug as this one reported 6 weeks ago but still not fixed: https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/7090

Re: DIR-825 radio led

Sorry no new information on that, but I can confirm this issue. All leds were working exempt ath9k-phy0 and ath9k-phy1.
I tried the following configuration without any success:

config led
option sysfs 'ath9k-phy0::radio'
option trigger netdev
option dev wlan0
option mode 'link tx rx'

config led
option sysfs 'ath9k-phy1::radio'
option trigger netdev
option dev wlan1
option mode 'link tx rx'

Has anyone tried this yet?

Seems that currently nobody is actively working on OpenWrt and DIR-825. This led bug remains opened two months now without been investigated yet. Same with some even more serious WEP/wireless issues reported weeks ago. Latest trunk changes broke the whole wep/auth mechanism on DIR-825 but still nobody cares. It's open source I know, but still... sad

Unfortunately I had to revert back to stock firmware because of these, although I do love OpenWrt minimalistic form.

Looks like there is a solution. Now we only need the deveopers to notice it.

This problem exists six months now and nobody cares, even though DIR825 is one of the most widely used router.

It is being worked on, its being discussed in the mailing list, since its duplicates a lot of the code as the netgear wndr3700. Your precious LEDs will be working soon. tongue

Soon? yeah! A year since this issue first surfaced and the only we have is some unofficial and broken patch. wink

Re: DIR-825 radio led

I'm confused... So at the moment we just have to wait until it is fixed in trunk? No way to fix this manually in RC4?

Re: DIR-825 radio led

It's already fixed in trunk a while ago. But still not ported to backfire, I suppose.

Thanks for the reply, so i will try trunk instead, seems to be much better with this machine then Backfire.
