Topic: Is TP-Link TL-WR741ND Ver 1.4 supported ?

Hi,

I bought today a TP-Link TL-WR741ND Version 1.4.
The "Table of Hardware" shows that TP-Link TL-WR741ND Version 1 is supported, does that mean that Version 1.4 is also supported ? Or the support is for the especific version (version 1, as stated on Table of Hardware).

Thanks,

Well, after install, the status page shows the following information:

     Firmware Version:      3.11.1 Build 100312 Rel.42991n
     Hardware Version:     WR741N v1 00000000

Maybe the router is not version 1.4 after all.
Does anyone flashed a similar wr741ND with success ?

Thanks

Did you succeeded installing OpenWRT to TP-LINK TL-WR741ND Ver. 1.4?
I'm compiling success reports to Wiki page.

hi there,

I tried Ver 1.4 yesterday and it did not work, actually I managed to brick it. :X

I'm going to get a new one tomorrow and try it agian.

I used the Web interface to install Backfire 10.03 but then lost connection somehow. Any suggestions what to do different this time?

btw, status Page:

Firmware-Version     3.9.18 Build 100104 Rel.36350n
Hardware-Version     WR741N v1 00000000

Try the newer 10.03.1 RC4 branch.
Also report how did you manage to recover from brick.
"lost connection somehow" mean: no DHCP? no telnet? Lost connection to some extent is a standard behavior. Hope you know what you are talking about.
Thanks for reporting.

Any success with version 1.4 ? Its possible or no?

v1.4 works for me with openwrt 10.03.1 rc4 ...

this guy also confirmed it

Have just installed latest Chaos Calmer 15.05 on my 1.4. Works just fine.
