Hi Guys, want to know if anyone of you have good experiences with WPN824 v2 and open-wrt..
The router appears in the hardware compatibility list, but as untested...

Thanks a lot!

Claudio

Yes.

new firmware WPN824N version 1.0.12  based Open-WRT Kamikaze 7.09
http://www.inter-solar.ru/WPN824N-V1.0.0.12.img 2816K

compiled from opensource - new firmware: new build  for WPN824 from
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2649

Source: Firmware Netgear on GPL -  ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/GPL/W … ar.bz2.zip 135298 KB - 05.01.2010

Upgrade:
   2. Log in the router at http://192.168.1.1.
   3. Click Maintenance > Router Upgrade.
   4. Click Browse and locate the file you just downloaded.
   5. Click Upload. While the firmware is loading, do not interrupt the upgrade process.

The router reboots when the upgrade is complete.

To check that the upgrade was successful, log in to the router again at http://192.168.1.1 and check the firmware version.

interesting.
These devices has smartMIMO technology from Ruckus wireless.
http://www.ruckuswireless.com/
It enable to select antenna among multiple antennas.

Does the development environment have the source code of the driver for antenna selection?

regards,
zukky

@intersolar2  , hi, i have the same router as you, WPN824 v2 and i want to know if you're done with the firmware, it's working? big_smile can you post a download link, thank you wink

Yes, me too, I would like to try OpenWRT on this box, please make a new post on status and possibly also an image for download.
