Does OpenWrt support any cable modem routers?
If so how do I find out which are supported?

Those should all be ADSL/ VDSL modems, while you can use OpenWrt as router with an external cable modem, I don't think there are any OpenWrt supported DOCSIS modems (given the way DOCSIS is specified, using a shared medium and certificates to only allow blessed devices/ firmwares, this is unlikely to change) around.
