Topic: Bricked TL-WA901ND v3

The content of this topic has been archived on 4 May 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I had this TL-WA901ND v3 which is bricked.
The Power On LED is static but the other 4 is blinking non-stop. Is there any way for me to unbrick it?
I'm a novice btw

You should describe how you ended in this state in the first place.
- Did you install OpenWrt? Or some other custom firmware?
- Where did you download it from? What version was it?
- How did you install it?
- Any other things you did before things broke down?

It was a failed flash from OpenWRT to Stock FW. The OpenWRT was

openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-wa901nd-v3-squashfs-factory

from the AP OpenWRT wiki page. My friend flashed the wrong stock firmware using the OpenWRT web interface. And it became like that.

LED's flashing like that means that the bootloader has found the firmware is not bootable and is in some sort of TFTP recovery mode waiting to download new firmware.  I don't know exactly how that mode works though.

The wiki page describes how to unbrick using serial.

Anyone know how to recover that? I'm new to this
