Topic: Support for Netgear D7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Modem Router ADSL/VDSL

Hello guys,
I recently bought a Netgear D7000 Nighthawk AC1900 Modem Router ADSL/VDSL, will this device be supported by OpenWRT ?
My dreams is for a mod that permits "downloading offline" (amule+trasmission) and more features than original firmware..
This is it the hardware configuration: https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_D7000

thanks, bro smile

nothing want to mod this device ? sad

Uhh, no, bro.

OpenWrt is EOL. Try LEDE.

I don't know what is it "LEDE" but the other guys have modded the "D7800" and it is similar sad

Don't you think it is somewhat rude and potentially premature to post this in the _openwrt_ forum? There has been no official word yet about openwrt's demise, so to paraphrase Mark Twain "reports of its death might be greatly exaggerated".
I would be interested in what sources make you believe that openwrt is truly EOL? I do not question your recommendation to the OP to try LEDE, as currently LEDE progresses much faster. So recommending trying LEDE it is decent advise, but I believe you do not need to "diss" openwrt while doing so.  As far as we know tell there is even a re-unification of both projects still possible.

P.S.: I liked the recent days better when you kept a low profile in the forum wink

Best Regards

Have a look at https://downloads.lede-project.org/snapshots/targets/ and https://www.lede-project.org. Please note that LE DE snapshots do not include the luci GUI (or nay GUI for that matter) in the base firmware image so please follow: https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/luci.essentials.

P.S.: these days it is best to simply ignore Max Hopper's posts, whatever his motivation might be, helping newcomers it certainly is not...
