Solution: Get a router with more RAM than 16MB.

Add some swap space on an external harddrive? Might be slow, but at least working.

Edit: Btw, I don't think this should be in the "Developers Only" forum.

16MB RAM devices are known to easily run out of memory. Adding swap doesn't make it better.

EDIT: This device doesn't even have USB. /EDIT

In times where you can get a router for $14.95 that easily outperforms the WL-330ge, it really does not make sense to invest any time in devices with only 16MB.

Did you use the right firmware image? Did you install additional packages that filled up your flash memory?

Do

df -h

to see how much memory is left.

Reflash the firmware (that even runs on my WL500G De Luxe with 4 MB flash memory). For correct firmware look here: https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/asus/asus_wl-330ge.

and only install the software that you really need. What do you want to run on it, else than it being an access point or a repeater?

Why is that? Because openwrt needs more the 16MB RAM at the same time, so copying a page of memory to a swap space doesn't help in this situation?

The firmware is applied here,

nothing special, nothing installation, even no opkg anything, but once WIFI is enabled, Luci is dead. 15.05 has been failed, later on does try this new patch version. Sadly it has same thing.

This is somehow strange and does removing plastic case & fire up with serial cable to picking this router to see what was wrong, not seeing tmpfs was being flooded, and it perhaps has been a good reason to looking for help in this group, some one can advise more with an experienced developer.
