Hello,

I've received a board from ZBT, specifically http://www.zbtlink.com/list.aspx?cp_id=496.

It has:

- Mediatek MT7621AT CPU
- 2.4GHz Mediatek MT7602EN
- 5.0GHz Mediatek MT7612EN
- OpenWrt Barrier Breaker 14.07 / LuCI Trunk (unknown)

Now, it appears there are no packages available for this model. I need to install Python/TCP dump/etc on it.

Does anyone know what the state of this chip is? It appears to be a nice chipset with lots of memory.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi everybody! I need some explanations. So I have got chinese router zbt-wg2626, it is based on MT7621AT. Out of the box it runs modified Pandora, chinese fork of OpenWrt 14.07 . Original opkg.config file has links to https://downloads.openwrt.org/barier_br … packages/*  But there are no such paths! I have changed them to https://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_cal … /packages/ * and performed opkg update. Now I need to install x2ltp or openl2tp packages with all dependencies. But opkg tells that there are no available packages for my architecture ! What should I do? Do I need to make binaries from source codes? Thanks!

You can not use kernel dependent packages from another version on an older version..  You may not even be able to use any 15.05 of 14.07

I created an image for the ZBT-WG2626 using the latest ImageBuilder-ramips-MT7621 from trunk.

ive built CC which successfully boot at this device

This board (zbt-wg2626) is compatible with PBR-M1 (PandoraBox model1), then you can build a new image from Chaos Calmer, using the imagebuilder for ramips-mt7621

Phenobarbital, do you mean that I can flash precompiled bin-file for PBR-M1 and it will work with my ZBT-WG2626?

Stas2z, do you have any issues with stability of your ZBT-WG2626 ?  Mine is rather unstable, sometimes it reboots, sometimes loses connection... I am using CC.

I flash this firmware https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots … pgrade.bin , then RAM be 256M , SYS LED long light, other funtions seem normal.
What firmware do you flash?

I use firmware manually compiled from Chaos Calmer 15.05 sources. Router sees all 512MB of RAM.
I applied that patch https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/541200/ from Mr. L. D. Pinney before compiling.
Everything works rather good, except WIFI LEDs, they don't work (maybe I made a mistake somewhere, but for me that's OK)
Sometimes router reboots or WIFI restarts, but not often.

Also I use modified L.D.Pinney's uboot, he told me that it adds support of all CPU's cores.

Also I installed heatsinks on WIFI chips and CPU, because they are hot.

Also there is information from russian forum http://forum.ixbt.com/topic.cgi?id=14:63027-16 that device can run Firefly's Firewrt firmware  http://en.t-firefly.com/en/firelink/firewrt/download/ . But I didn't check it yet.

Hi - im trying to build CC for zbt2626 with no luck. Using newest buildroot with gcc/musl from git. Trying kernel 3.18 with config from stas2z (link to stas2z patched buildroot not wokring) but theere is no support for mt7621 on 3.18 kernel_menuconfig ;/ Building on 4.3 kernel goes fine, but after upgrading openwrt on board with generated image ( zbt2626) board dying. Because of lack of console (board has been modified) have no way to check whats going on right now. Funny thing is that on image stas2z generated for this zbt2626 -everything works so i suspect something kernel related ;/ Any ideas?

Doh... no luck at all - several errors during building one with mips-gic.h not existing on kernel 3.18. During my time here I've ordered pl2303 usb-uart terminal emulator to get some view on a problem. I'm waiting for it to come.  On 4.3 kernel with git 15.05 buildroot - everything compiles fine, but final image for zbt-wg2626-sysupdate-squashfs  after mtd - is'ntworking at all - etehernet link diode of connected port is constant on, no  traffic on port (wiresharked).  Meaby it's something about uboot? This is not a stock ZBT-wg2626 - i've removed sata, wifi 'ac' controller (only 'n' left) and there is only 256MB ram. Meaby something needs to be updated in dts?
