Topic: At last! Image for D-Link DSL-275xB rev. D1 is available!

The content of this topic has been archived on 27 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I'm verry happy to see that there is an image for D-Link DSL-275xB rev. D1 available.

I've already put my 2750B into test, it seems to work OK.

I will probably edit this post so I can add more info...

By installing that firmware you have lost the integrated modem, right?
By the way, if someone is interested, I tested the .bin and seems not working on my DSL 2750B ( I notice that the .bin of wrt contains "Board id AW5200B", but my router with the stock firmware give me "Board id AW5200U", the last letter change).

I just tried to load this firmware into my DSL-2750B

The installation failed immediately with the error:

DSL Router Update

Uploading failed. The selected file is illegal.

Other information:

Model Name: DSL-2750B
Time and Date: Thu Jan 1 00:10:25 1970
Firmware Version: AU_3.06
Hardware Version: T1

I guess my model differs from yours. Anything I can do to make it work?

Cheers, Mike.

No, you can't do anything to make it work.
If you open the firmware file of each device with a HEX editor, you'll notice the arch is different.

Oh well. Thanks for letting me know smile I'll stick with my TL-WA901ND and it's 4MB of flash for now.

Hi. I have DSL-2750B D1. I upgrade firmware whit this file and i have "invalid image format".

Flashing from the D-Link web interface is not possible, you get the below message as you already mentioned:

Just use the "failsafe" interface.

1.) Power off the device.
2.) Press the reset button.
3.) Power on the device while holding the reset button pressed.
4.) Wait for about 5 seconds, you'll notice the power led changes color.
5.) Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.1.1
     You will see this page:

6.) Upload the OpenWrt image.
7.) After about 3 minutes the device is ready. smile

Hello,

It's working here too with https://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots … fs-cfe.bin

I can't test the modem right now but I think it doesn't work.

Working as Routed AP.

I will play a little bit with things I'm interested in, like peerguardian, tor, the USB and I'll make a report here.

Edit:

It's a complete fail.

I can't configure USB,

[ 669.594098] usb 1-1: new high-speed USB device number 3 using ehci-platform

but no disk appears in /dev. Tested with USB key, HDD, vfat, ext4 and swap. I missed something.

Edit 2:

I don't understand what I did wrong during 3 days. Now everything is working perfectly.

In my case:

opkg install kmod-scsi-core kmod-usb-core kmod-usb2 kmod-usb-storage kmod-fs-ext4 block-mount swap-utils

I followed the wiki and configured /overlay on /dev/sda2 and a swap on /dev/sda3.

Peerguardian doesn't exist anymore. Tor, I tried, it's ok, maybe later.

For now I'm using Transmission with a big partition on /dev/sda1.

The router is configured as wireless repeater, simplest configuration, wifi client on my main network (also OpenWrt) and lan on 192.168.2.1, this way it is completely autonomous.

I'm very happy, OpenWrt is the best!

Openwrt work on this router. Only DSL not working and HT40. Somebody fix it ?

DSL doesn't work on all BCM63XX routers

And wifi 802.11n 40mhz (HT40)?

There was a bug in Atheros chip, but it's fixed
https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/12720
Also, D1 doesn't have Atheros chip, so i think it's working

When
        option 'htmode' 'HT40'
        list 'ht_capab' 'HT40+'

I get
daemon.notice netifd: radio0 (7437): Driver does not support configured HT capability [HT40*]

I would like to know if it supports even 150 mbps? Mine is a TD-W8960N V5 which is having the same processor and wireless chip combination. But mine supports only 802.11g modes (54 mbps max.) Its wiki can be found at https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/plusnet/fast2704nv1 .
BTW b43 doesn't mostly support HT mode.
If you can please also make a wiki for your device on openwrt and by chance if your device is exactly similar to mine, then you can add your device to that wiki.

The discussion might have continued from here.
