I've tried Ubuntu 15.04, Fedora 22 and Arch, but the build process has always either failed or downgraded the host build chain to GCC 4.8/4.9.

But there seem to be people out there who have succeeded (https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/19592).

How exactly do you force GCC 5.1?
