Topic: TP-Link TL-WDR3600/43x0 GPIOs in JTAG socket

The content of this topic has been archived on 13 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

Just to let you know... It seems that JTAG, in TP-Link TL-WDR3600/43x0, is disabled by default in original U-Boot (or there is a mistake in AR9344 datasheet which has leaked?), so there are 4 available GPIOs which could be used for any purpose.

GPIOs numbers are (should be) the same like in WR841Nv8 (they are also pulled-down in the same way I suppose):

You should pay attention for socket orientation - in WDR3600/43x0 the JTAG socket is
inverted by 180 degrees in comparison to WR841Nv8. I haven't yet checked also purpose of the last pins in socket (11-14).

For example, how to make GPIO2 to be an output and set it high (OpenWrt AA/Gargoyle):

echo "2" > /sys/class/gpio/export
echo "out" > /sys/class/gpio/gpio2/direction
echo 1 > /sys/class/gpio/gpio2/value
cat /sys/kernel/debug/gpio
GPIOs 0-22, ath79:
 gpio-2 (sysfs ) out hi

Thanks!

I am finding way to read my WDR4300 flash using JTAG, any guide for that? Thanks
