I consider getting new router and found no 12.09 for 3500.
There is a file dated as 11th august in a trunk directory.
How this router behaves at all? The same seller offers 3600.

I've used that once with success, and currently another time without
its loaded but I am having problems with LUCI working properly

I assume I will wait a bit longer to see how 3500 shows up.
For about 10% more I could get 3600. So far, no hurry to
replace ole wrt54gl.
