Can i connect TP38 to http://scr.hu/0tgp/i1kd6 (blue point)?

(Last edited by smrodek11 on 12 Feb 2013, 00:30)

I still trying to connect TX and RX cables
Last info from router from today:

TX has got voltage, but RX hasn't got. I don't know why, is there any other points for RX? (not a jumper, but point to connect RX from usb cable)

I can send commands, but i can't receive responses. It's possible to flash with only sending commands?

Is there any alternative point for point: http://scr.hu/0tgp/elzuc (TP38) ?

Oh god ..
All points are working except TX jump, because i burnt this point ... ;C
Hmm or wait, look:
At this moment i got properly connected TP28 with TP48 (RX), and next jump cable connected to TP18, when i touch jump cable with connected only TP18 to cable jump between TP28 and TP48, then i receives  responses from router, but i can't send commands.
When i try manually to connect cable between TP18 and TP38, i can send commands but i don't receives responses from router. Lol?

And it's not working, when i touch first cable to second cable, im getting responses from router .. lol?
And why logs says its: TL-WR741ND-v4 q_q
Its mr3220 v2.1

Hmm but i trying without resistor neutral

This is not what I asked for. So I can't help.

And logs from router when i touch TX jump cable to connected RX jump cable or directly to RX cable from usb:

The pictures are worthless. Sorry!
I am guessing you have a short circuit somewhere.
Do you have a multimeter?
Not having the resistor is not going to help either!

I connected TP18 to TP48, and now i have clearly and stable responses from router ...
So this connections: http://dioptimizer.narod.ru/files/image … 2-UART.png are bad -,-
But i still can't send comands to router

Were you misconnecting tx and rx of your adapter?? I mean, you have to go from tx of router to rx of serial, and so on...

Since the logs are already show some proper information, it seems that the routers tx is more or less correctly connected to the adapters rx (yet not really stable). Still the other data line seems to be an issue.

Now i have multimetr. TX,RX and GND has got voltage
So when i connected TP18 to TP48 i received response, then i connected TP28 to TP38, but i still can't send commands ...
Jump connection got voltage so lol?

Hmm, when i checked voltage at TX, when router is off, i got voltage +3v, when i launch ruter, voltage is only 0.08v O.o lol?

So, there is a pull-up resistor between tx and something (maybe Vcc). Hard to tell, without a schematic and quality pictures (high resolution and not blurry!).
Checking your soldering with a multimeter primarily means to check the resistance of the connections.

And one more thing: the discussion is taking place in this forum, not in private emails - they will not get answered.

USB cable voltage:
- Between TX and TX: 0v
- Between RX and TX: ~3.47
Resistor:
- Between VCC and TX: ~0.13
Jump cablees:
- Between TP18 and TP38: 0v
- Between TP23 and TP48: 0v
lol, i don't have idea q_q
Can someone explain me this?

Lying on my desk two 3420v2 one with good and working RX pin and the other is not.

Compared continuity between RX to GND , here's what I got :
Working RX pin to ground ---  10k ohm
Bad RX pin to ground  ---- nearly zero ohm

(Last edited by xopal on 21 Feb 2013, 18:48)

You should be measuring voltages referenced to ground (GND). Everything else is undefined, irrelevant or random.

TX to GND: ~3v
RX to GND: ~0v

at this moment i have connected only TX jump, jump connect to GND: 0v, but jump connect to TX has got that same voltage like TX to GND, but im not receiving and i cant send packets. Still.

I changed RX with TX and now TX (i can read all from router) is working fine. But i got trouble with RX ..
When i touch RX jump cable to RX pin, i can't send command, but when i touch RX to TX, i receiving something like that:
@ţü"üRŔ@˙?`đ  đ!ř8˙ţŔ řţřţŕđţń7ŕ9`řř    °ŕđŔŕŕ
What is bad?

TX jump > GND - voltage ~3v
RX jump > GND - voltage 0v
q_q

So probably i have burnt RX jump? Is there any alternatives? Except this: http://198.15.109.240/image/TX-pin.png

Hey, did someone can provide alternative RX jump point for MR3220 v2.1?
