hi, I'm from israel, I bought tplink wdr4300 and the other day, I tried to install the last firmware (120810) from TP-LINK site
then I got some error:
"This version can only update Israeli customized firmware, as the universal firmware from TP-LINK global website has some wireless channels which are not allowed by the government."

I tried to contact with the tech support and I got no help what so ever, moreover - they say it's impossible!
I heard that there is a way to bypass this limitation, and here I need you help with.
what I need to do so?

you could
- hook up to serial port to enter the boot loader
- preferably backup the flash
- upload the firmware that comes without bootloader via tftp
- write that firmware to flash
search the wiki/forum for these information, and also have a look how flashing via tftp is done on other tp-link routers. that should get you started.

please continue in this topic.. anyway it's difficult if the israel firmware you have onboard cannot be downloaded from nowhere...
