hey just flash openwrt on linksys wrt54g v1.0 with backfire 10.03.1 kernel 2.4 and 2.6 and then trunk with kernel 3.3
in all instance the luci webpage is not very responsive and quite laggy and the whole system freezes during telnet sessions

it's on a wrt54g v1.0 with a 32mb ram and 8mb flash 180mhz processor

i can't find anything related to this in the forums.. i was running ddwrt on this which was very stable fast

guys anybody knows whats going on is it because of the 180mhz processor ?

Probably.

ddwrt ram fine on 180mhz there was no lagg on the webui

i will compile my own openwrt image and try it out again

Yeah but this isn't DD-Wrt.

WRT54G v1.0 has  4MB of flash and 16MB of ram and is running a BCM4702 at 125MHz - it is not much to write home about.

mine has 8mb of flash and 32mb of ram 16mb each ..... and in ddwrt cpu speed is show at 200mhz but i think its actually 180 mhz

Hi, i have a wrt54gl that i use as AP and i confirm the problem.
Try 10.03.1 with 2.4 kernel is the only that seems fast with LuCI.
Please do not make comparisons with dd-wrt, openwrt is a different world now wink
