Topic: dir-300 - sysupgrade - ash: arithmetic syntax error

Hey Guys, I started with Openwrt yesterday and I'm having a few n00b moments.

I've installed the firmware into the dir-300 and it shows as:
ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT (bleeding edge, r31258)

But, I cannot get Luci to install, so I ready that there is a package you can upgrade to that already has it installed and that's where I'm stuck. I ssh in and then try the update, here is what I get:

root@OpenWrt:/tmp# wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/backfire/1 … uashfs.img
Connecting to downloads.openwrt.org (78.24.191.177:80)

root@OpenWrt:/tmp# sysupgrade /tmp/openwrt-atheros-combined.squashfs.img

Sending TERM to remaining processes ... dnsmasq ntpd syslogd klogd hotplug2
Sending KILL to remaining processes ...

ash: arithmetic syntax error

I'm hoping someone can help me out.
Thanks in advance.

If you need them now, I'd suggest building it yourself. It isn't hard, just a bit time consuming (depending on the speed of your machine wink)

Is there anyway I can get a slightly older version of the file, that does work?
Where do I find the instructions for building it myself? Sorry, n00b.

Of coz, wiki, http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/start
look to the Building section.

The discussion might have continued from here.
