Topic: RC4 client mode - WAN IP is on wrong interface!?

I set the WAN IP (wan_ipaddr=192.168.0.101) and then set the WR850G to client mode (wl0_mode=sta). After reboot the box does attach itself to AP, but AP is showing registered device vlan0 MAC address. Now if to check the ifconfig output then the WAN address is still attached to vlan1.

How to overcome this issue? Is there  nvram variable for client mode IP address?

Btw: I used the WEB configuration tool for the AP to client mode change.

Re: RC4 client mode - WAN IP is on wrong interface!?

When trying to fix the issue I broke it:

root@OpenWrt:~# nvram show|grep ifna
wan0_ifname=vlan1
wl0_ifname=eth1
size: 10184 bytes (22584 left)
lan_ifnames=vlan0 eth1 wds0.2 wds0.3 wds0.4 wds0.5
pppoe_ifname=vlan1
wan_ifnames=vlan1
lan_ifname=br0
wl_ifname=
wan_ifname=vlan1
root@OpenWrt:~# nvram set wan_ifname=vlan0
root@OpenWrt:~# nvram commit
rebootroot@OpenWrt:~# reboot

Now the box is silent - no  pings responding from any port.

How to recover?
