Topic: TEW-634GRU port

I have a bunch of TEW-634GRU access points that I would like to port openwrt to.  I have serial access and I can read and write the flash from the current embedded Linux system.  As far as I can tell all the parts are supported, I believe it is very similar to the TL-WR1043ND which I currently have running openwrt.  Would someone be able to explain what steps I need to add support?

Specs:
Flash: 4MB
RAM: 32MB
Switch: RTL8366
CPU: AR9100 (AR9102?)
WIFI: AR5416 (?)

Any other information that would be useful?

I've started a wiki page at http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/trendnet/tew634gru

Re: TEW-634GRU port

Although I have serial access, I haven't found any way to interrupt the boot loader, so I can't try any images in RAM or on a flash drive.

Re: TEW-634GRU port

What's the output on the serial port as it first boots up?
Does it tell you what kind of bootloader it is running?

Looks like I forgot to mention that the bootloader is u-boot.  Here's the first part of the output from the serial port:

Re: TEW-634GRU port

Trendnet has now included the u-boot source in their GPL package so hopefully I can make some more progress now.

Re: TEW-634GRU port

Is it possible to connect to serial port using nokia dku-5 cabel? It contains pl2303 3.3v ttl. Is it enough rx,tx,gnd?

and what is your progress in porting?

It is The Great idea to port OpenWRT to this hardware. A usb port should work with lpr or p910nd for example. Storage is good too.

Re: TEW-634GRU port

Yes, I'm using the Nokia cable (or similar).  I haven't had a chance to look at it again for a while.
