If you open the Astaro AP30, the serial port is the 4 pin connector. It goes SquarePin(power?), Ground, SerialFromDeviceToPC, SerialFromPCToDevice. Baud rate is 56k@3.3Volts, 8N1.

Since it is already running a build of OpenWRT, does anyone know where to find the GPL sources for it?

The Open Source code for all Astaro products is distributed via ISO, for the latest GPL code grab the ISO here:

ftp://ftp.astaro.de/pub/Astaro_Security … 80-7.1.iso

(yeah, you'll have to dig around a bit to find the wireless bits)

The discussion might have continued from here.
