Please, provide more information.

(1) How did you obtain the log above? By serial cable?
(2) What happens if you try to telnet, ssh or nc into your router?
(3) if you get any prompt, try typing help and post the output.
(4) Also post the router configuration.
(5) What country are you in? What is the ISP you use there?

Hello.
I have the same problem as the guy above.
I got almost the same data over the serial line. This is my log:

I cannot acces the CFE prompt, tried to send CTRL+C while booting, and also pressing the reset button in almost every possible combination. I cannot telnet or ssh into the box.
I used wireshark to capture trafic and it's quiet, not even ARP request on any of the 4 ports.

I got this Alice box from ebay. Any ideeas? Thx

Alice boxes are sold/used in dozens of countries in Europe and outside. Without knowing where it came from, you will not be able to do any login without proper username/password combo.  So try to be more specific. What does the label say? What does the wireless router login screen show etc etc.

For future reference:

The board is ok, I used a JTAG cable to load a standard CFE from here: http://repofulm.dyndns.org/index.php?di … li%20agpf/.
After that i used a nokia phone cable to connect to the serial port, and from the CFE prompt I flashed Backfire Openwrt.

It rocks baby!

Great! But it would be helpful if you could also post which JTAG-dongle you used and with what software?

I found all the documentation needed on repoflum's site. The JTAG dongle was home made, 5 resistors, wires from and IDE cable and a LPT socket.
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/hardware/po … unbuffered

The software is called alice03bis.exe, also from repoflum's site. Watch out, there are 2 versions, alice03.exe and alice3bis.exe. The second one is newer and is the only one that worked for me.

http://beghiero.myftp.org/modifiche/ali … 03_bis.zip

This is an console app. The CFE files (CFE.BIN, NVRAM.BIN, etc.) must be in the same folder as alice.exe

More info here:
http://www.ilpuntotecnicoeadsl.com/foru … 952.0.html

It's in italian, but Google Translate works pretty well.

P.S. I needed about 2 months to make this work. big_smile
P.S. Watch out for the JTAG connector layout on the PCB. In the second version they swaped the two columns. Google has lots of info about that. In italian.

The discussion might have continued from here.
