Hi!
I have a few "bricked" USB drive sticks and can't use them.
Is it possible to take the flash chip from say an 256MB usb stick and replace small one (2MB,4MB,8MB) in router and jtag a bootloader into new one?

Hi,

In general, memory in usb flash drives and memory cards is nand  type, and memory in routers is nor, so the short answer is no.

Ok, I understand now, didn't know that could be problem.

Greetings of salutation!

how test the flash chip on router? (dir-825 B1)
sorry my bad english)

Here is the wiki page. Search for serial, you'll need a serial adapter (build ttl serial adapter or use some nokia modem cable) to attach to router and see what is really going on.
