Topic: Asus WL-500gP: high sirq while downloading

The content of this topic has been archived on 15 Apr 2018. There are no obvious gaps in this topic, but there may still be some posts missing at the end.

I am using OpenWRT trunk (r16539) on my Wl-500gP.

I noticed that I get an extremely high sirq usage in top when I am downloading something (from eth0.1 to eth0.0, all static LAN connections, Wifi disabled, no shaping):
Mem: 17052K used, 12744K free, 0K shrd, 2488K buff, 7720K cached
CPU:   0% usr   0% sys   0% nic   0% idle   0% io   6% irq  93% sirq

There are no applications which consume any CPU. Is there any way to fix this? This makes the box pretty unusable while a large download is running.

Thanks,
direx
