hello,
im new to this forum, and am glad to be apart of it.

today i purchaced an AirLink101 ANAS350.

i got it up and running and was shocked to see how ugly and featureless the webGUI was, so i immediately googled some keywords for using modded firmware., and found this site smile

so... my question is, can i hack/mod this device with new firmware ? ive seen a few mentions of the ANAS350 on this forum...
if i can, what would the new interface look like ?
what is the flashing process ?

thanks!
eric

ps, what does it mean when the two LEDs blink in turn, one after the other; labeled 'HD status', and 'Backup/restore'

also, i notice my file system is displayed as ext2 ?!! what is this about ? cant i not use FAT32 ?

can anyone help ?

Hi and welcome,

dgi has linked to another post in a forum that he has OpenWrt booting but it was lacking support for the IDE and/or SATA hard drive.
Without support for that there is not much use to put openwrt on the device except to use the USB ports possibly.

I have been using the stuff from here (http://mgb111.pradnik.net/) and the web interface isn't any better looking but it has the ability to run scripts and compiled code on it easier than the stock firmware. ie. telnet, ssh, tftp, webserver etc

The discussion might have continued from here.
