Check out http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GPL/DGN3500B_16M_V1.1.00.28_src.zip  once I looked into it I saw there uboot for amazon se and ar9, and some .asc where there, maybe it will work

Thanks.  Tried the u-boot.asc files that were included in both DGN3500 and DGN3500B firmware, and still the same result.  And the u-boot/board/ifx/ doesn't seem to have ASE specific stuff.

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Finally, there is some progress. :-)

Based on the U-Boot sources for Linksys WAG120N, I managed to create a config file for Amazon SE as follows:

   0xbf800060 0x7
   0xbf800010 0x0
   0xbf800020 0x0
   0xbf800200 0x02
   0xbf800210 0x0
   0xbf800230 0x0002
   0xbf800220 0x30
   0xbf800240 0x14c9
   0xbf800280 0x36325
   0xbf800290 0x81d
   0xbf8002A0 0x0
   0xbf800210 0x1
   0xbf103010 0x20

And then used gct to convert u-boot.srec files to u-boot.asc files using the above config (amse.conf).

./gct amse.conf u-boot.srec uboot.asc

Unlike earlier attempts where I got nothing, this time after I send (paste) the u-boot.asc file into minicom, I get the UART prompt again, some sort of "reboot".  This behavior is consistent, i.e., it is the same for some u-boot.asc files, while nothing happens for others.  I think this is an indication that my u-boot.asc file is accepted and then rejected (sort of), which is one step ahead of not accepting at all. :-)

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

During the last week or so, I have tried so many things.  Like generating hundreds of different u-boot.asc files using various srec and conf files using the gct utility, trying various ways to send files, and so on.  Apart from the small breakthrough mentioned in the last post, I am still stuck. :-(

Apart from trying to create various u-boot.asc files, is there anything else I can try?  I will be creating a JTAG cable soon, but that method will require original firmware which I don't have.

And has anyone got detailed information about the 50601 board?  I have googled a lot, but couldn't get anything useful than the two page brochure, and a few documents which doesn't have sufficient details.

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Try asking blogic (the openwrt developer responsible for the lantiq target) for a copy of the u-boot for the EASY50601 evaluation board. He might have one.

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Hi

Thanks every one for your posts.

I've installed openWrt in a router ARV4518PW-A-LF-LT from the yacom ISP  (I bought a bus pirate), but the wifi is broken.

Could anyone help me to fix the wifi?

Thank!

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

My router ARV4518PW not start. I have connected to LVTTL serial but that's from this point:
----------------------------------------------
ROM VER: 1.0.3
CFG 01
Read EEPROMX
X
----------------------------------------------
It seems to have erased the eeprom

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Hello again my friend "gnumengor", I´ve got to upgrade from BRNBOOT to U-Boot into my SMC7908A-ISP wireless router and finally I´ve installed Open-WRT Backfire v10.3.1 but it was impossible for me to do a backup from the last 64KB of wireless calibration data for support this Atheros AR2417 EEPROM data code because I don´t know a expert linux user, only Windows XP with Hyperterminal user and my wifi router with Open-WRT and madwifi says in kernel log:

"wifi0: unable to attach hardware: 'EEPROM read problem' (HAL status 8)".

Can anybody send me by email (my email is: cjrivsua@hotmail.com) a file with this important wireless calibration data please?, I don´t know if I will have to change in Hexadecimal mode into the file the MAC of your wireless card for the MAC of my wireless card only and say me too the instructions for update this information to my SMC7908A-ISP wireless router step by step because I don´t know the commands to do this.

Due to there is no detailed information about how save and upload this wireless calibration data, there are a lot of users with the same problem as me.

Help me please and thank you very much.

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Hi cjrivsua,

sorry, I can't help you with this! The only thing I can do is sending you the last 64kb by mail (give me some minutes to find it).

You will have to figure out if it works for you!

To copy the file to flash, place it in the root of TFTP server.

From U-Boot:
ARV4518 => tftp 0x80500000 ${tftppath}config.bin
ARV4518 => era 0xb03F0000 +10000
ARV4518 => cp.b 0x80500000 0x03F0000 10000

But I think it will be useless. According to everyone in this post, wifi doesn't work yet!

Did you use the file openwrt-lantiq-danube-ARV4518PW-squashfs.image from http://downloads.openwrt.org/backfire/10.03.1/lantiq_danube/ ?
I flashed it and I don't see anything about madwifi!

Greetings,
Edgar

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

there seems to be a possibility to send bootloader when in UART mode

found very interesting information about this here:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/gigaset/sx76x#uart
and here:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/arcadyan/arv4518pw

question which remains is how to enable uart mode on the easybox 803 (ARV752DPW22)

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Would anyoane send me a full flash dump / backup for wippies homebox black (arv4510), including brn-boot?

I've erased everything by mistake.

Thank you

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

if needed by others - here is how to enable uart mode on easybox 803 (ARV752DPW22):

thx again to angrybb !!!

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

I have also deleted my bootloader.
So I tried to get the R80 R65 trick to work ... but on my board there is only the R65 .
On R80 is no resistor or things to shorten ... ;(

If I just connect 3,3 with the R65
my serial output is like

ROM VER: 1.0.3
CFG 05
Read EEPROMX
X
SFLASH

what does it mean ?

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

It means that you have successfully found the other bootstrap pin, but you still need to find the other one. Which router do you have?

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

I have the ARV752DPW22 board

but I guess the other pin is the R80, which is not on my board.
So I have no resistor here and no pads where I can short something

Is this R80 from other boards going anywhere else, or can I know flash
via JTAG or similar???

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Did you saw my pictures on http://www.arcor-user-forum.de/easybox-803a-arv752dpw22-annex-a-firmware-4583/#post31850 ?
There is no R80, just a place for it on the board. You need to shortcut it.
Take another look at my pictures. I also have ARV752DPW22, rev:01B from Vodafone Easybox 803A. From those pictures you should be able to locate R80.
Post picture of your board, top and bottom and in solid resolution so we can help you locate R80.

I managed to install openwrt on it (ARV752DPW22, rev:01B, Vodafone Easybox 803A)
xDSL - works
wifi - not recognized, see https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/10898
wifi button - also not working
leds - all of them are always on, so i guess it is not working as it should
usb - working

I also tried dd-wrt on it. Flashed with this image(s) ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSl … sybox_803/
Situation with it is opposite:
xDSL - partialy working, connected to DSLAM but cant set correct VPI/VCI settings as there is no option in webui
wifi - working
wifi button - seems it is not working
leds - all of them are always on, so i guess it is not working as it should
usb - working
See http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=150188 for more info on that.

Could someone help me to add option http://lxr.linux.no/#linux+v3.1.10/drivers/net/wireless/rt2x00/Kconfig#L83 to openwrt make menuconfig?

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

I have had a deeper look to my board.

The problem which I have right now is that there are no pads on the board "anymore".
So I can't connect the both to short the R80.

Is there any schematics around where I can see if there is any possibility to short this R80
with other "pads" or "test points"?

And if not can I do a jtag flash?

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Can you take a photo of your board ?

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Hey

first off all a big sorry ... I have bought a defect one (somebody tried this before and destroyed the board)

Right now I have another one ... 10 € from ebay .... wink

I have boot the uboot.bin to RAM and I got also this network chip error
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
U-Boot 2010.03 (Feb 23 2012 - 10:51:35)

Board: ARV4518PW
SoC: Danube/Twinpass/Vinax-VE V1.3, DDR Speed 166 MHz, CPU Speed 333 MHz
DRAM:  64 MB
Flash:  8 MB
*** Warning - bad CRC, using default environment

Net:
searching for rtl8306 switch ... failed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you or angrybb, have a new compiled uboot.bin for me ?

Another strange thing is that uboot is telling me that I have a ARV4518PW board ... but on the sticker is ARV752DWP-B-L-F-IR

My network chip is:RTL8306G

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

IIRC the ARV4518PW string is hardcoded in uboot, so it doesn't really matter (I have an ARV7518 happily booting with the ARV4518PW uboot).

You mean ARV752DPW, right? It is EasyBox 802.

Here is my uboot which works ok for ARV4518PW and EasyBoy 803a:

Also take a look here, https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/10645

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

Yes it is a Easybox 802

thanks for the uboots ... do you have also one for the brn boot ?

I have tried to compile a uboot for myself ... but I get always errors while compiling.
(The problem is that i'am using qemu for building ...)

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

I just compiled this u-boot for EasyBox 802 (arv752DPW), but i did not tested it.

http://www.mediafire.com/?t5onfcq4wqfrj56

You have all of them inside the zip (brnboot, ramboot and flash).

Re: Is this router based on the infineon danube?

I am some steps further ...

First of all my new error

Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

What I have done:
- Upload openwrt image (squashfs.image) from brn boot to address 0x80500000
- Upload uboot_ram to memory address to address 0xA0400000

- Boot uboot (works good)
- Due to the error I have set some env variables
     -> setenv filesize 0x200004
     -> setenv kernel_addr 0xb0030000 (this was a solution before)

- era ${kernel_addr} +${filesize};cp.b ${ram_addr} ${kernel_addr} ${filesize}            flash it
- run flash_flash

After some progress I am still getting everytime this error

Another point is when I try all this with the ARV752DPW I can only see this error message .... but if I try everything
with the ARV752DPW22 ... I am getting this error BUT with a suggestion of mount points

[    0.488000] Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available partitions:
[    0.496000] 1f00              64 mtdblock0  (driver?)
