hello,

I just started to use samba (asus wl500 premium samba 2.0.10). I searched around but could not find a solution for my problem. I wanna share an external hard drive which is  formated with fat (mount options  ->  setgid=1001,gid=1001,dmask=0002,umask=0002).

On the windows machine I'm able to access the shared folder. I can read/write and create new files without  any problems.  If I  create a new folder an error occours. "Could not create folder which already exists" and two folders are created "New Folder" and "New Folder(1)".

Are there any options which solve my problem?

My configuration:
