Hello.
I have problem with flashing WL-500gP (premium). I tried to flash it over web interface but it said that firmware is wrong and didnt flashed. Then i tried to flash it using tftp: using windows tftp and linux it was connection timed out: on linux log is like this:
sent WRQ <file=openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx, mode=octet>
sent WRQ <file=openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx, mode=octet>
sent WRQ <file=openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx, mode=octet>
sent WRQ <file=openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx, mode=octet>
sent WRQ <file=openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx, mode=octet>
sent WRQ <file=openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx, mode=octet>
Transfer timed out.

As you see i am trying to flash it with latest openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx as it was said in openwrt documentation.

Maybe someone has flashed it? Maybe i have to change some options or something?

Please help.

Sorry for my english. smile

try this way:

connect your router via LAN-Cable to your computer
hold reset button with pencil
plug in power cable

make sure that the power led blinks slowly

atftp
connect 192.168.1.1
mode octet
trace
timeout 1
put openwrt-brcm-2.4-squashfs.trx

wait 6 minutes

power reset
