I have a Zyxel WSM20 with an MT7621 processor. I've searched forums but couldn't find a solution about not go above 500 Mbps wirelessly. My lineis 1 Gbit/s. How can I remove this limitationon wireless to go up to 900 mbits etc? If it can't be removed, I'll change devices.

In theory on a completely "green" channel you can get 8/9ths of 1201Mbps ie gigabit in up+down, exactly half of yor wire speed.
500Mbps - is it with offload already? Or just the displayed link speed?

This is the speed result I saw on the speedtest.
Which devices would you recommend?
Depends on where you live.
Globally, GL-MT6000
US: SAX1V1K (W1700k if you want to gamble, support is still WIP)
EU: EX5601-T0/-T1 or ISP branded versions of those two.
My Asus RT-N56U B1 with MT7621ST (single core) gives 350 Mbps maximum at 100% CPU load when used as Dumb AP (no firewall, no nftables, just clean passthrough eth->wifi). Your's Zyxel has MT7621AT (dual core), and I think 500-550 Mbps is practical maximum for it.
