[Zyxel GS1900-24E] Some ports don't work on OpenWRT

Hello everyone,

my switch shows some weird behaviour after flashing stable OpenWRT 22.03. At least two of the switch ports do not work at all right when running it. LuCI is accessible, LEDs and connection status is fine for the ports in question and overall no sign of error. However, devices plugged into those ports loose their entire connectivity a few seconds after the switch has fully booted. During reboot or when OpenWRT has not yet finished booting, the devices work fine though. I've already reset the entire configuration twice and even switched cables, etc... no help. Those ports (at least 5 + 6) never work.

For now i went back to the OEM firmware which does not show this behaviour and works fine on all ports.

Any hints?

Do those ports work on the vendor firmware?

Hi, thanks for the speed reply. Yes those ports work fine on the vendor firmware. I have to reflash OpenWRT onto the switch first. It's currently running on the vendor's firmware. Note i have not changed any setting and even have reset the entire configuration in OpenWRT, but the ports still didn't work.

The device has two firmware slots, if you keep OpenWrt on the first slot and the OEM firmware on the second slot, you can switch relatively easily (at least with serial console access).
