Zte mf286r, serial PL2303 garbage

Hi, I'm trying to install openwrt on zte mf286r via serial port.
I'm using a usb-uart adapter based on pl2303ta.
I can't read anything, it shows garbage.

Can I force this adapter to work or is it better to buy this CP2102

Wrong baudrate or other settings wrong, maybe not correct connected.

My settings:
serial settings

My connection:

probably not going to help, disable flow control.

Check the adapter alone - disconnect the cables from the adapter and put a jumper between Tx and Rx, then press any letter key and observe the output.

shouldn't it be jumpered for 3.3v ?

I tried every options from flow control, and nothing has changed.

You should use any, there's are no options to try.

This jumper changes the voltage on the VCC pin, when it is shorted to 3.3V, nothing is displayed

I've never used one where the jumper isn't set, so I have no idea what the result would be.

set the jumper, reverse the Tx Rx pins.
do the Rx-Tx loop back test as described by @AndrewZ.

I tested with arduino clone and it works. Arduino has connection with uart adapter.

I bought a new adapter based on cp2102 and it works beautifully.
