ZTE mf286d - no failsafe?

Hello!

I recently installed OpenWrt 24.10 on a ZTE mf286d. The router ran B14 firmware prior to Openwrt, which was downgraded to B02 by ZTE framework during the install. I then upgraded to B12 modem under Openwrt.

However, during my attempts to get LTE working I set, and forgot, a password on it. I have set a static ip 192.168.1.2 on my client and can connect to the router's ssh server (still password protected), but on reboot it doesn't enter failsafe mode regardless of which buttons - Wifi/VPS?/Reset - I have pressed. In Wireshark, no UDP packet on 4919 showed up regardless of which LAN port I tried, only the ping I initiated.

How can I reset the password without serial console?

When do you press it ?

At powerup, and keeping it pressed.
