Hello everyone. Just like in the title, i recently bought this router, and i decided to post some more info about installation procedure of OpenWRT on this router.
So to get inside the router, first pry off the top cover, it comes off with some force:
So, as you can see, it’s not that hard to dissassemble this thing. Now, the commit is pretty much complete when it comes to installing OpenWRT, but i need to add a couple of things:
1. I needed to set my network card IP address to 192.168.0.22 in order to send initramfs.bin file thru tftp server.
2. In the commit it says to use 1.8V serial adapter. In my case, i used 3.3V adapter, and nothing bad happened, i didn’t fry anything.
3. Also in my case, when i connected all 3 connectors from uart, router woudn’t boot at all. I needed to connect only TX and RX, and when i powered the router up, i had to quickly connect GND, and press ESC to enter u-boot.
I decided to post this info, so maybe someone can update the info page on OpenWRT wiki about this router. I hope it can be useful to users around here
OK, @frollic, i created a device page and put in some very basic info, since i’m completely new to this. And of course i can’t put pictures in, cause’ i’m not authorized to do so.
going by the name, does it have a LTE modem built in, in that case, if you know which packages are required to get modem to work, post them too.
along with modem interface from /etc/config/network.
manual also says one of the ports can be used to power the device over PoE ?
