has anyone tested this router?
Does it come with an Hardware NAT out of the box ?
it's an OEM based Openwrt ?
i'm wondering what chip they used for the Wifi 6. We only know about wifi 2.4 and 5.
2. Adopt independent WiFi chip, 2.4G is qcn5024, 5.8G is qcn5054
3. 2.4G rate up to 1147Mbps, 5.8G rate up to 2402Mbps, 2.4G&5.8G supports MU-MIMO
Without knowing this device in particular, it would be surprising to find anything but:
4*2.2 GHz cortex a53
2*1.5 GHz NSS/ NPU (little endian ubicom32 derived-) cores, running QCA's proprietary NSS firmware, offering hardware acceleration for a lot of protocols
OEM firmware loosely based on QCA's QSDK with their 'adapted' kernel 4.4.60.
how much of resemblance to OpenWrt remains differs from vendor to vendor, but it's usually heavily butchered up and not updated (derived from 15.05.1).
see the Xiaomi ax3600 thread for details about ipq807x support
warning, the SOC does support secure boot, some vendors don't use it, others enforce it. In some cases it can be disabled by setting a custom boot command (over serial) skipping firmware verification, but if a vendor did its homework, it might not be.
EDIT: comparing to other devices, the antenna array might not be as effective as well oriented internal ones.
