YunCore / KuWfi CPE200 Installation Process?

Hi there,

I have my hands on a KuWfi CPE200, which is as far as I can tell, identical to the YunCore CPE200.

It appears to have a firmware image (https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=24.10.0-rc7&target=ramips%2Fmt76x8&id=yuncore_cpe200), but unfortunately installation doesn't seem to be as simple as flashing through the WebUI. When I do this, the system takes a while to process, and then reboots top the original firmware (albeit to a slightly broken version of the original firmware with labels missing). If I reboot again, it goes back to the original firmware. I have tried flashing it with it in "client" and "master" mode switches.

I did find this guide which appears to be similar, but I am a bit reluctant to try a similar process since this was written 6 years ago and it wouldn't surprise me if a lot has changed in that time: https://github.com/grosjo/OpenWrt-Kuwfi-CPE830#option-1

If anyone has managed to flash this, I'd appreciate some insight on how to get this done safely. Thanks!

See the commit message for details.

A word of warning: https://github.com/openwrt/mt76/issues/925

Neat. I'm not worried about DFS personally, my region has plenty of non-DFS channels I can use. Thank you muchly. TLDR for anyone reading this:

Installation:
The installation can be done via the recovery HTTP server which is built
into the bootloader. Hold down the reset button while connecting the
device to power and keep holding a bit more than 3 seconds. Connect to
http://192.168.0.100/ and upload sysupgrade.bin file.

Great - in Europe, there are none. I found out about the non-working DFS after flashing OpenWrt.
