Downgrade or I can provide a compiled version with mac80211 rolled back to the previous version as that may or may not help you.
Thanks Hammer but I don't have my old build
Now I'm trying to downgrade with git...
Seems like this kernel crash and reboots are not kernel related, reverted the kernel back to 4.9.52 and the problem still persists.
Also noticed that it happens only when accessing and browsing LUCI, apart from that the device functions correctly in my setup.
Maybe it's modules that are used by luci as well that are crashing? ubus, rpc, netifd? Though trace log points to some networking error.
I downgraded to r5117-fbde9ac and seems fixed.
Not for me, it also restarts without using LUCI
Have you tried any other commit in between?
No
If you want we can divide the tests...
I have installed you snapshot r4696+688-df3295f and it works fine. I have not noticed any reboots. Maybe I'm lucky? )))

My router at version r5422-9fe59abef8 crashed now. I have no miniupnpd installed but other packages like tvheadend and a custon kernel with dvb-receiver drivers. The compile options are left standard.
My last message in /sys/kernel/debug/crashlog is:

===================================
You should try reversing mt76 driver commit by commit.
I dont think that this is kernel related
Seem to be fine:
https://github.com/lede-project/source/commit/21802ce3ab0634d5ed8fbe2e7cb206ede79d4dc9
Bisecting further. But it takes some time that is scarce for me recently.
Hello, with opkg update && opkg install luci it works now THANK YOU!!!
OK I'll try until here:
Try this one instead please, I've got bisect running, it will be easier to go through
https://github.com/lede-project/source/commit/ff56bb0dfb2ccdfc82ade6f80ad201268717d9fe
It's 6 more iterations with this commit left
Thanks!!
r5406 also crashed for me. Uptime ~5 days ... happend while logging into LuCI.
I'm currently debating with myself what to try. Maybe revert all the mac80211 changes just like I did earlier (to fix my miniupnpd crash issues) and see if that makes it stable. Or maybe just revert this... https://git.lede-project.org/?p=source.git;a=commit;h=2dc485250d516f1535eeaf53f0f2f5742e5f9e0c
Try going back to this commit, let's join efforts
https://github.com/lede-project/source/commit/ff56bb0dfb2ccdfc82ade6f80ad201268717d9fe
@dissent1 I'd like to join your efforts in locating the issue and I made one interesting observation.
I compiled latest r5433 (standard GCC, no special options set) with https://git.lede-project.org/?p=source.git;a=commit;h=2dc485250d516f1535eeaf53f0f2f5742e5f9e0c reverted ( I just did a rm -v package/kernel/mac80211/patches/140-tweak-TSQ-setting.patch
before make
) and enabled miniupnpd
as this in combination with my Samsung TV seems to cause reboots within 5 min.
I experienced no reboots for 30 min!
I then compiled r5433 without any reverts and then I got 4 reboots within 30 min..
I have now re-installed the r5433 with 140-tweak-TSQ-setting.patch
removed and will see if this will continue to keep the router stable...
Hello guys, im using that version from long time and it works without crasches if that helps
Model: Xiaomi Mi Router 3G
Firmware Version: LEDE Reboot SNAPSHOT r5169-f4d4a3c / LuCI Master (git-17.298.44627-fbe7f90)
Kernel Version: 4.9.58
Uptime: 21d 23h 3m 54s
Only sometimes i need to connect one more time iphone 7 because he losts WiFi conection
Anyone knows why I get only 3 MB/s over wifi through Samba when downloading data from USB 2 Flash (ext4) connected to router, but ~16 MB/s when downloading via ethernet?
Other info:
- my wifi speed is ~100 mbps (speedtest.net via wifi 5 ghz; macbook pro 13, macOS)
- if I download the file using sftp or scp over ethernet (Windows 10), I get the same 3 MB/s and 25% cpu usage by dropbear
- if I download over wifi via Samba, I get 3 MB/s and samba's cpu usage is 25%
- Nov 22 snapshot
So out of these, only Samba through ethernet seems to download fast (16 MB/s) from the flash drive with no significant CPU usage (~9% by samba).
Hello!
Whole week I'm searching for not expensive replacement for my old D-Link DIR-320B1.
And, sadly, not so much options here (mostly D-Link, TP-Link and Asus) and for most of them only snapshot builds are available (TP-Link Archer C59, C60, Asus RT-AC51U and some other).
And looks like every device has it's own problems - either with Wi-Fi, difficult flashing/restoring, stability e.t.c.
I'm really tired of searching and need to choose between something.
What about this Xiaomi Router 3G - how it is in current state, it have promising future, is there a hope for stable release?
Also, can buy TP-Link Archer C50 (EU version).
I don't need anything special, but gigabit ports and ac support are good options.
I only have about 5 Wi-Fi devices and two wired (nothing special - PC with torrents, consoles and phones/tablets), but also have many Wi-Fi neighbors.
