Hi. I use my mir3g for transmission + samba purpose only. But after upgrade I faced with unbelievable behavior of my router (OpenWrt 22.03.5 r20134-5f15225c1e / LuCI openwrt-22.03 branch git-23.093.57104-ce20b4a):
transmission get "permission denied" error.
samba share connection no longer usable from mac.
Transmission get this bug after downloading first 2MB of data and trying to write on SSD. Error msg is "permission denied". I try to change permission of folder, user, group - nothing helps, until I total upgrade router. First torrent is loading normal, and second catching "permission denied" error again. So, I don't have any idea what happening with my router why error returns and work so random (only 2 thing can force it bug in OS or bug in transmission build),
Second problem is not so critical for me: macOS can't enter with password (previous build had no issues). Now I just using rooted guest - not elegant way but it works.
If someone faced with these two problem and find solution pls share it. And I heard transmission 4 more efficient with elegant web interface - hope see it soon.
What was the previous version of OpenWrt you were using? Did you keep settings on the upgrade? Did you upgrade the OpenWrt via the sysupgrade process, or did you upgrade packages?
previous version is 22.03.4 (it has problems with transmission too when I upgraded from 22.03.3 via Luci with Upgrade URL somthing-ramips-mt7621-xiaomi_mi-router-3g-squashfs-sysupgrade). On 22.03.4 I use old settings for escape error with transmission - but now this method doesn't work.
On 22.03.3 I saved backup with working transmission (but it was root user for transmission easiest way for fixing "permission denied" from google - yeah it's total garbage).
Hi. I found what openwrt-23.05.0-rc2-ramips-mt7621-xiaomi_mi-router-3g-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin update fixing all my problems with transmission and samba. But file is hard to find.
This method work (randomly) since Windows95!
New transmission have New error - moving from 'incomplete' to 'done' can't work correctly - in process transmission-web show error msg, files from 'incomplete' moving with different size and not all of them copied. I think transmission try to copy and (delete but can't) files vs move.
I have only one solution - don't use 'incomplete' folder.
And it not seeding out of the box. You need to create firewall rule with you hands (previously it works after install).

Nope! I think someone should add it on site map on left side of openwrt.org page. At 720p screen you should scrolling page down to find it (but you look at site map).
