Xiaomi Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition (R4AG/R4A Gigabit) -- fully supported and flashable with OpenWRTInvasion

I am also trying to turn it off but I can , the wan port still lights but the power led is of

Really?
On mine (RC2) it stays off and its not available for control.
Is there anyway to make it controllable?

Hi, My internet bandwidth is 200mbps but whatever I do, I can't get more than 94-95 mbit with this router over 5GHz. I tried switching channels and everything. Openwrt says the connection between router and pc is 730mbit. I had this problem with official firmware so I flashed openwrt, same thing. Anyone having a similar problem?

Seems like it is connected to a fast ethernet port.Have you checked if the router is connected to a fast ethernet port or via a fast ethernet cable? fast ethernet maxes at 100mbps so you need to connect it on a gigabit ethernet port.

Hi, Router is directly connected to isp box over wan port and using pppoe connection. Is there a way to check wan port speed? Sorry, I'm a newbie

You can check from the web interface on the Network->Switch section. The port status for WAN is the one you want to check.

Hi there,
What do you mean by that? Is that an ONT (optical network terminal) or another router/modem? What device is that? And do you have the same speed issue with a wired connection?

It's an ONT. Nokia g-010g-q. I can't try wired connection right now. But with another ZTE router, I can get 200Mbit over 5Ghz.

There is no switch section under network unfortunately.

Hello,
Are you using 21.02? I am on 19.07 and it's not missing. Unfortunately i don't know any way to find WAN speed on 21.02 (hope someone can help here)

If you are running 21.02RC3, you will have that info under VLAN config.
Go to Network->Interfaces
Click configure on br-lan.
Then click on "Bridge VLAN filtering".

You can see it in Bridge VLAN filtering section. See my image above, 1000 Full Duplex.

How stable is WiFi for you with OpenWrt?

I've a pretty bad experience with a cheaper but similar Xiaomi Mi Router 4C (MT7628AN). Slowdowns, stalls, disappearing SSID (no beacons).
Is Xiaomi Mi Router 4A Gigabit (MT7621 + MT7603 + MT7612) stable enough for daily use? Both 2.4 and 5 GHz? MT7628AN is just a variant of MT7603 so I'm a bit sceptical.

Good Evenin and sorry for my english.
In my case I use 2 such routers in dhcp client, and they are set with 802.11r. I am in the version 19.07 I have connected them with a cable and I cover 2 floors 110 square meters each up and down with 2 ssid. (2.4 and 5ghz).
I can say I am very happy I have not encountered any problem and all this at a cost of 40 euros.

Stable enough for home use, sometimes ssid disappear for a moment.

@db260179 and all, I have found "upgrade_2to3.zip" on:

What do you think?

Even with Byte-bite release?
I understand that his release is supposed to improve stability for this platform.

I actively use it as main router with primary services such as pppoe, sqm, wireless on both bands etc. and I am quite satisfied. It's pretty stable and works well. Needless to say it's much better than stock firmware. Thank you for all your hard work and contributions.
