Xiaomi AX3000T auto reboot after blue LED

Subject: Xiaomi AX3000T bootloop after OpenWrt boot — blue LED, then reboot loop

Hello everyone,

I have a Xiaomi AX3000T running clean, stable OpenWrt 25.12.4. Until last night it worked normally. At around 1:00 AM, the router started bootlooping.

Here is the LED behavior I see after power-on:

  • fast orange blinking,
  • slower orange blinking,
  • slow orange blinking,
  • blue LED turns on,
  • after about 2 seconds the router powers off / reboots,
  • then the whole cycle repeats.

I also tried holding the reset button. In that case, the LED behavior becomes a repeating pattern:

  • fast blinking,
  • solid light,
  • fast blinking,
  • solid light,
  • repeating at a fixed interval.

I am not sure whether the router is entering recovery mode, or if this is a bootloop after partial boot. The device is a MediaTek-based AX3000T, not the RD03V2 Qualcomm version.

What I want to understand:

  1. Is this a known bootloader / bootcount / layout problem?
  2. Does the reset-button LED pattern mean the router is waiting for TFTP recovery?
  3. If TFTP recovery is possible, what exact filename and method should I use for AX3000T RD23?
  4. If TFTP does not work, should I go directly to UART recovery?

Any advice is appreciated.
