Greetings,
I'm trying to solve a big issue with my Linksys WRT3200ACM.
I just downloaded official "21.02.1" version and flashed it as fresh install. All done successfully.
Then I logged in to enable WiFi radios. Radios enabled successfully.
I can see both 2.4 and 5GHz SSIDs but I'm unable to "connect" using WiFi.
No any IP is assigned, even using a static IP doesn't work.
While in WiFi (with static IP) I cannot ping the router.
It seems WiFi is completely broken.
On LAN the DHCP works well.
At this moment I've spent 6 hours to solve this issue without any result.
I tried everything.
My configuration? The stock one: I've only enabled WiFi radios and set SSIDs and passwords for both of them. Neither more than this.
I though default settings had to work....
Should I try an older version because the newer one is bugged?
Or do I miss some initial configuration like Interfaces, Devices or Firewall Rules?
You're not really providing anything to go by (e.g. redacted contents of /etc/config/wireless), but I kind of guess that you enabled WPA3 in some way. Don't do that on this hardware, mwlwifi[0] doesn't support IEEE 802.11w, which is a precondition for WPA3 - stick to WPA2PSK/ CCMP and make sure that IEEE 802.11w (wireless frame protection) remains completely disabled. If that doesn't fix your issue, you'll have to provide more details about the failure conditions and the configurations involved.

[0] this is a driver/ firmware bug, which isn't fixable from OpenWrt's side.
